Rates:

Pecan Island West Hunt Club offers two hunting options:

Deluxe:  Includes supper, one night's stay at our new camp, the duck hunt, and brunch afterwards.  The cost for the deluxe hunt is $300 per hunter.   (Minimum of 2.  If you are a single, we will try to pair you up with another hunter or two.)

          * On Youth Waterfowl Hunt days, the cost for a Deluxe hunt for 1 youth and 1 parent is $500 per hunt.

Drive-up:  The client attends only the actual hunting experience, without staying the night at our new hunting camp.  The cost is $200 per hunter.   (Minimum of 2.  If you are a single, we will try to pair you up with another hunter or two.)

          * On Youth Waterfowl Hunt days, the cost for a Drive-up hunt for 1 youth and 1 parent is $300 per hunt.

* Clients are responsible for their own guns and ammunition.

                                                                      

Hunter Safety Requirements:  All hunters born on or after September 1, 1969 must show proof of satisfactorily completing a hunter safety course approved by LDWF.  Persons younger than 16 may hunt without the certificate if he or she is accompanied by and is under the direct supervision of a person 18 years of age or older who has satisfactorily completed a hunter safety course.

Reservations
Reservations are currently available!  Call us at 337-523-4947 or send an email to collinm@piwesthunting.com to book your hunt now!  Reservations are accepted year round, but early booking is recommended.  A 50% deposit is required at time of booking.  Balance is due on or before arrival at the club.  We accept personal or business check, money order, or all major credit cards.  If for some reason you must cancel your booking, your deposit will be refunded if you cancel 30 days prior to the hunt.

Guided Duck Hunts

_{^{The Pecan Island West Hunt Club is located on 1,000+ acres of private, water controlled property adjacent to White Lake where you will find some of the best duck hunting in North America.  We have been hunting ducks on our marsh property in Pecan Island for over 60 years.  Drawing from our experience, we have created topnotch wooden blinds camaflouged with cane from the surrounding area.  Our blinds are easy to access, requiring only a 10-minute ride by a Polaris and a 5-minute ride by boat.}}

 

The Pecan Island West Hunt Club offers guided services for the following waterfowl hunts:   

Teal Hunt:  Get an early start on your duck hunting season and head to the Louisiana Coastal Zone marshes in Pecan Island, Louisiana to hunt the migrating teal. These fast-flying ducks are among the earliest birds to migrate south and provide fast action for sportsmen. The 16-day teal season runs September 13, 2014 through September 28, 2014.

Youth Waterfowl Hunt:  During the Coastal Zone's Youth Weekend, eligible hunters are limited to those 15 years old or younger on the date of the hunt. The youth is the only one permitted to possess a gun and must be accompanied in the blind by a parent or guardian who should be hunter safety approved with a valid hunting license. More information regarding hunter education and requirements for the adult 'escort' for the Youth Hunts can be found on the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) website. The two-day Youth Waterfowl Hunt takes place November 8, 2014 through November 9, 2014.

Duck Hunt:  In the Coastal Zone, the duck hunting season lasts 60 days and is broken out into 2 segments. The first segment opens on November 15, 2014, and closes on December 7, 2014; and the second segment opens on December 20, 2014, and runs through January 25, 2015.
